Dr. James Rejowski, Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgeon

Dr. James Rejowski — ENT SpecialistDr. James Rejowski was born and raised on Chicago’s southwest side. After graduating from Leo High School, he attended the University of Illinois-Chicago where he was a James Scholar. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with Honors and Departmental Distinction.

At Rush Medical College, he was nominated to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical school honor society, in his junior year, and was awarded his Doctor of Medicine in 1978.

His surgical internship and residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery ensued at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center. Upon completion of his training he received the Specialty Surgical Sciences Award in recognition of outstanding achievement as a senior specialty resident. He became board certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery in 1983.

Dr. Rejowski joined Dr. Richard Bulger in the practice of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery in July of 1983 with offices in Hinsdale and Bolingbrook. Currently, along with Dr. Tracey Knott and Dr. Christian Soneru, their group, York ENT Surgical Consultants, a member of Adventist Health Partners, sees patients from throughout the metropolitan area and beyond.

He holds medical staff privileges at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, RML Specialty Hospital, and the Midwest Center for Day Surgery.

Dr. Rejowski served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in 1993-1994 and at Adventist Hinsdale/Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital in 2004-2005. He chaired the Credentials Committee at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital prior to its opening in 2008 and along with the members of the committee spearheaded the efforts to develop the medical staff there. In 2008 he was named the first President of the Medical Staff at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, the first new hospital to open in northeast Illinois in more than twenty five years, and held that honor for two years.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Chicago Laryngological and Otological Society, the American Medical Association, the Illinois State Medical Society, and the DuPage County Medical Society.

Dr. Rejowski, along with associate Dr. Richard Bulger, was named one of Chicago’s Top Doctors in the Spring/Summer edition of the Nonprofit Consumers’ CHECKBOOK which reveals the Chicago area’s services Best (& Worst) for quality and prices.

Dr. Rejowski and his wife Linda live in Burr Ridge. They have four sons and enjoy travel, golf, skiing, and especially the Bears, White Sox, Boilermakers, Fighting Irish, and Hawkeyes.
